Did Not Attend (DNA) Policy
Patients who do not attend appointments for doctors, nurses or HCAs are classed as DNA’s (Did Not Attend). The computer system automatically marks the patient record that they have failed to attend an appointment. Due to the high numbers of missed appointments the surgery introduces a new procedure.
Patients who have failed to attend three or more appointments cannot make advanced appointments for one year.
These patients will be able to book an appointment on the day ONLY.
